Delayed Obedience

Guess who’s back, back again! This time I plan to make it consistent with sharing a blog post once a month, maybe more. Whether these blog posts get read, I love to write, and it is something I feel draws me closer to God. For months, I have had the desire to get back to blogging, in fact, it’s been over the last year I have wanted to. What’s stopping me, you might ask?

TIME.

Well, it’s more than that. It’s the fact that I wasn’t making it a priority. Since I became a run coach and I still work for my family’s business, I didn’t make time to blog beyond what I post on social media, articles I write for ActiveforChrist’s newsletter, or what I send my athletes.

I may not be the best writer, but I am only writing for an audience of one. I question why God wants me to write and get back to blogging, but sometimes we don’t know the why, we just need to be obedient to what we think God might be leading us to do.

I have heard from multiple pastors and Bible teachers over the years that,

“Delayed obedience is disobedience.”

And with that, I am back to blogging! This is just a fun introductory blog post to let you know what to expect, and for those of you that are new to this blog, thanks for subscribing! For those of you who have followed me since its inception in 2018, thank you for patiently waiting!

Here are the types of blog posts you will see from me in 2023:

  •           Faith filled posts
  •           Running related topics
  •           Ways to Giveback (2023 theme)

So, hang tight and get ready for more posts to come!

Spiritual Workout Challenge:

  • What is something you think God has been calling you to do, and you haven’t followed through with? This could be something such as taking a neighbor a plate of cookies, starting a blog of your own, forgiving someone, or anything at all that you feel God is leading you to do.
  • Write down a date of when you plan to accomplish this by, and get to praying about it, and moving forward with it, so you will be obedient to God.
